At Home Chromotherapy!
Chromotherapy is a treatment that uses colors and their electromagnetic radiation to treat diseases. Chromotherapy has been around for centuries and has been implemented by ancient cultures. Fortunately with the advancement of scientific technologies, we now have the ability to access the amazing healing powers of colors in the comfort of our own home.
Every living creature is engulfed in light that affects its health conditions. The human body, according to the doctrine of chromotherapy, is basically composed of colors of light. Colors generate electrical impulses and magnetic currents, fields of energy, that are prime activators of the biochemical and hormonal processes in the human body. Colors act as both stimulants or sedatives and their vibrations can be harnessed to balance the the organs of the body.
All organs and limbs of the body have their own unique color. Each of our organs and energy centers vibrates and harmonizes with the frequencies of these colors. When various parts of the body deviate from these expected normal color vibrations, an individual will feel that the certain organs in the body have become diseased or are functioning in a less than ideal state.
Red light therapy acts as a stimulant, notably of blood, and to a lesser extent the nerves; yellow and orange light therapy act as nerve stimulants; blue and violet light therapy act as soothing agents to all systems and are known for having anti-inflammatory properties.
Red light therapy has been recommended for paralysis, physical exhaustion, healing wounds, and chronic rheumatism. Red light therapy has also shown to be affective in the treatment of cancer and constipation.
Yellow light therapy has been recommended as a laxative and for getting all that gunk out of your lungs and sinuses. Yellow is a very energizing color and is great for spaces where high energy is required, aka the gym!
Pink light therapy will have the opposite affects of yellow and red light. Pink light has a tranquilizing and calming effect. Pink light therapy will suppresses hostile, aggressive, and anxious behavior within minutes. Pink light therapy may also reduce muscle strength; bad for the gym haha! Many jails have implemented the color pink in their cells and in seconds the inmates calm down and lose strength.
Blue light therapy can help reduce inflammation, sciatica, meningitis, nervous instability, headache, irritability, and sunstroke. Blue light therapy has also been used to increase fertility. Blue lights have been successful in the treatment of addictions and eating disorders as well.
Using warm colors for therapy are useful to help heal those who are suffering from reactive depression or neurasthenia. Warm color therapy can increase muscle tone and will overall give the body more energy.
Red light therapy has shown to activate the mitochondrial cells. The activation of these cells means an increase in ATP production.
ATP = cellular energy = increased bodily energy!
Cool light therapy can calm anxiety and help people feel more at ease. Cool color light therapy can help those who have trouble sleeping. Cooler light therapy has also shown to lower blood pressure, provide relief from tension, and alleviate muscle spasms.
Chromotherapy is most effective as preventive treatment, but it is also affective at treating problems that have already arisen. It is so exciting that companies have developed light treatment therapies that you can use in the comfort of your own home! I have listed some of my favorite chromotherapy products above.
Many tanning salons now offer red light beds! I recommend you try them out, but please stay away from the UV beds. No UV bed is safe. It is amazing to look at the before and after photos of people that have used the red light therapy beds for a couple months...looks like you have a Google image search in your future!
Chromotherapy is just becoming recognized as a real science and it is so exciting that we are beginning to see more hard data supporting its benefits for the health of your body!
This treatment is awesome for new moms. Red light therapy is beneficial in alleviating postpartum depression, the linea nigra, and any wounds from having a cesarian section! It is also super relaxing to lay in the warmth of the red lights for 15-20 minutes, because all new moms deserve a break!
Love and Light!
