Must Have Nursing Products
When I started my nursing journey I was like any new mom, just winging it day by day and hoping for the best. Who am I kidding, I am still winging it! Some days nursing by little babe is a breeze other days are just harder. But, as I continue through my breastfeeding journey I have relied heavily on nursing products that have made it so much better.
From one breastfeeding mom to another here is my must-have nursing products:
My Brest Friend Nursing Pillow - This comfortable nursing pillow is truly on the top of our must-have list! I am honestly not sure how I could of gone through my nursing journey so far without it. It clips around your waist and you can adjust to make it tighter or looser. It has more padded area for your babies head to rest on and truly support them while feeding.
Bamboobies Nuring Pads - These pads are reusable and ultra soft. When I first started my breastfeeding journey, I was leaking a lot! Thank goodness for these cute heart shaped pads. They helped to keep my shirts from getting soaked and avoiding embarrassing moments out in public. I really love the overnight pad too which is little thicker but still comfortable enough to sleep with.
Little Teether Teething Necklace - Once my babe hit about 4 months she became to be very distracted when nursing. And her hands would be crazy and grab me and my hair. I decided to start wearing my teething necklace to see if it might help and did exactly that. It helped keep her focus and her hands busy with holding onto the necklace.
Haakaa Breast Pump - I was able to start a frozen milk supply early because of this awesome hand pump. When breastfeeding you place it on the opposite breast to catch that liquid gold. It catches all the milk without any extra work.
Milk Snob Nursing Cover - Nursing in public can always be a bit intimidating. But, with my cover I can do it confidently. They are so soft and lightweight and I can easily throw it on anywhere. The great thing is this covers is mult-functional and you can use it to cover a shopping cart, an infant swing, and car seat.
Kindred Bravely Nursing Bra - I discovered these bras while I was pregnant and would sleep in the Terry Racerback Sleep Bra at night. This also became my go to bra for night nursing sessions during the newborn months. They also have an array of other nursing bras that make breastfeeding a breeze.
NursElet - No need to invest in nursing shirts just get a Nurslet! I was tired of tucking my shirt under my armpit, neck or chin and then having to also focus on my breastfeeding baby. This amazing product keeps your shirt securely out of the while you nurse your babe. It has made my nursing experience so much better, because I don't have to strain my neck or back holding my shirt and can just enjoy the time with my little one.
Lansinosh Nipple Shield - My little one had a hard time latching when she was brand new. Using a nipple shield helped us both during our breastfeeding sessions. I also felt it made the transition to a bottle and using a pacifier easier since she was already use to the feeling. She eventually weaned herself off the the nipple shield at around 4 months.
Earth Mama Angel Baby Natural Nipple Butter - When you first starting nursing you will use anything that makes your sore breasts and nipples to feel better. And just like the name this cream feels like butter and was a mega relief. It is also safe for baby and made with all organic ingredients.
Honestly, I am not sure if we would still be breastfeeding if it wasn't for each of these wonderful products!
